Three hearings were held before the Basic Court in Kolašin on Friday, according to the lawsuit of the director of the regime tabloid Vijesti, media tycoon Željko Ivanović, against the Aktuelno portal.
Considering that Ivanović has sued our media house countless times, it should be noted that hearings were held on Friday on the lawsuit of this media tycoon for texts entitled “Media tycoon is preparing the ground for the betrayal of Montenegro: He is setting up Luka Bar Vučić through his staff!?”, then “Krivokapić and” Vijesti “old acquaintances: They promoted the pharmacies of Krivokapic's sister in law, and now they issue orders for the composition of the government!” and @The Hypocrisy of the Whimsical SDP Leaders: A Weak, Inconsistent, and Weak Foundation for “Strong Montenegro” where he is mentioned in just ONE sentence.
At the hearings on Friday, Ivanović, in addition to pointing out that he is hypersensitive when someone mentions him in public, also showed that he wants to take as much money as possible from our media house. Although in his written works, which he calls columns, he regularly names dissidents in the most mundane way, on Friday he also showed that he does not tolerate criticism and that he is ill, almost pathologically sensitive to the mention of his name in public.
Ivanovic held a short seminar at the hearings in order to collect as much as possible for his “mental pain”, so he stated that the court in Strasbourg, when taking positions and creating a practice on the amount awarded in similar cases, did not think about situations such as specific and that “the practice of courts in normal countries is to award multimillion sums in a situation as concrete as it is”!
In giving his statements, the media tycoon clearly tried to be as big a victim as possible, and, as the lawyer of the Aktuelno portal noted, Ivanović's claims were not in accordance with the written evidence we submitted during the procedure.
The representative of the Aktuelno portal states that Ivanović's unsuccessful “lecture” on why he should be awarded as much money as possible in the name of “mental pain” is best denied by the practice of the court in Strasbourg. This practice says, among other things, that when a person demands enormously high amounts due to a violation of reputation and honor (if he primarily possesses these categories), it is the best proof that he is not interested in satisfaction but only aims to get unjustly rich.
From all the above, it can be concluded that the way in which Ivanović interprets the practice and judgments of the Court in Strasbourg is a product of his insatiable imagination and nothing more, which will be proven in the further procedure.
