Zivkovic: The government will soon lose its legitimacy, the new civic forces will defend the national dignity of Montenegro

New civil pro-European forces will stand in one bloc and defend what is the national dignity of Montenegro.

It is not good to put the election of members for the Prosecutorial Council (TS) in a set of political agreements, it is not good for the government and we must show a deviation from what the previous government did, said Ana Novakovic Djurovic from the Civic Movement URA in the show “Emphasis” on TVCG. DPS MP Danijel Zivkovic points out that this government will very quickly lose its legitimacy, so that the Government will lose support in the parliament and new parliamentary elections will be called.

Novakovic Djurovic points out that the agreement between the Democrats and Democratic Front speaks about the political government and that this is not about reconstruction. DF MP, Slaven Radunović, said that this agreement should not “irritate” GP URA and that it is a big step and an opportunity that should not be missed.

Radunović believes that no one should mind that the Democrats and the DF have found a common language.

“It remains to agree with the URA and other parties, which is easier when we have gathered so many deputies here. DF and I personally think that it is fairest for seats in the Government to be divided based on the election result. Let the Government be completely political, and if it can't already, let those ministers who satisfied most of us be kept,” says Radunović.

Novakovic Djurovic says that URA's position is clear.

“The election of the Prosecutorial Council as part of a political agreement is unacceptable for us. We think it is not good to put the Prosecutorial Council in a set of political agreements. That is not good for the government,” she said.

Reconstruction of the Government, she points out, change on the same grounds.

“The current government is expert, not political. If we are talking about the political, it is a new moment, and we are starting the agreements from the beginning”, she adds.

Radunovic says that the definition of reconstruction is “if the prime minister remains the same, it is reconstruction”.

“It is not known who drinks and who pays”

Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) MP Danijel Zivkovic says that what is happening on the social and political scene to the Montenegrin public is best described by the popular saying – “It is not known who drinks and who pays”.

“It seems to me that the former is known, but the latter is certainly not known. At the moment, you have the largest constituent of the government who is boycotting the parliamentary sessions and who has announced that he will protest against the Government for which they voted”, said Živković for TVCG.

Zivkovic points out that this government will soon lose its legitimacy, so that the Government will lose support in the parliament and new parliamentary elections will be called.

“The new pro-European civilian forces will stand in one bloc and defend what is the national dignity of Montenegro,” he said.

Radunović says that “we do not need the help of Vučić, Russia, America or the British ambassador.”

“It simply came to our notice then. External influences are from other countries, not only Serbia and Russia. I would like no one to interfere in our affairs. Since that is impossible, let's try to be correct”, says Radunović.

“It's not just about the conflict of politics, this is about the conflict between the values of civilization”

Montenegrin society is even more deeply divided than it was before August 30 last year, Zivkovic believes.

“These divisions have their source significantly in the past. No one lowered the curtain over it and said they didn’t exist. If you have the first person in the executive branch who says that Victory Day over fascism should not be celebrated, you have to ask yourself what kind of statesmen you are dealing with and where the state should go. This is not just a conflict of politics, this is a conflict between the values of civilization,” said Zivkovic.

He believes that the achievements on May 21 are endangered.

“These liberators called on Muslims and Bosniaks to leave Montenegro, politicians in Berane tried to name the streets after Ratko Mladic, we had various gaffes and outbursts in Montenegrin society… We have no need to attack anyone, we only defend what is national dignity Montenegro”, points out Zivkovic.

The role of the DPS in the political life of Montenegro is that we must protect the national interests of the state, he says.
