In front of the Church of Christ's Resurrection in Podgorica, there was an incident tonight, when there was a conflict between the participants of the patriotic motorcade and the supporters of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Part of George Washington Street is closed, and there are strong police forces around the Temple.

The screening of the film “Montenegro, a divided country” by Boris Malagurski started in the crypt of the Temple at 9 pm, while the citizens protested across the Temple.

As Pobjeda reports, the participants of the motorcade, which today traditionally passed from the mural to Krsto Zrnov Popović and continued walking along the Boulevard of St. Peter of Cetinje in front of the Parliament of Montenegro, arrived tonight in front of the Temple. They chanted to Krsto Zrnov Popovic, while on the other side of the fence they heard “This is not Montenegro”.

Then, a group of young men from the plateau of the Temple, supporters of the Serbian Orthodox Church, tried to break through the protective fence, but the police managed to prevent a conflict between the two opposing groups with a quick intervention.

A double cordon was made, on both sides of the boulevard, and the police managed to move the participants of the motorcade to the parking lot.

In the meantime, the commander of the police arrived to ask the participants of the motorcade to disperse. They refused, and police used spray.

One person was detained.

Earlier tonight, “Bogougodnice” (eng. “God-pleasing women”) experienced discomfort during the performance of their performance.

At one point, they approached the protective fence in front of the Temple to perform the prepared performance, when a group of guys approached them from the other side of the fence, insulting them and pouring water on them.

They called them derogatory words and told them: “This is not Cetinje for you”: Numerous shouts were heard, including “You came here, bulls”.

A police cordon stood between a group of young men and women, and the head of the temple, Dragan Mitrović, came out to calm the situation.

One of the banners that the gathering of the representative of the Feminist group “God-pleasing women” wore was “Adam's rib the church needs more”.

At one point, the “God-pleasing” played a prayer in Greek, while a group of guys on the other side of the fence shouted “We will not give the shrines.”

In the end, the performance ended without consequences, and the “God-pleasing women” left the sidewalk in front of the Temple, accompanied by the police.
