To repeat what I have already written, the struggle for the emancipation of Montenegro with the founding of LSCG (Liberal Alliance of Montenegro), the renewal of the Montenegrin Church, the founding of the Matica Crnogorska and the founding of the Language Institute, and every letter written for that purpose and every protest expressed in public, is a living monument to our generation which accomplished this. However, the government embodied in the DPS was not the pillar of Montenegrin national policy, nor did it show interest in the issue of identity, either state or Montenegrin, although the patriotism of the citizens depended on its decisions. She gambled on him with an ungrateful and vile attitude towards everything Montenegrin. Everything that our generation founded with blood and sweat was on its list of trade offers, both to Serbia and the Serbian Church. In return, it received a little more than a decade of unhindered transition from state to private ownership.
While the people, laying their morale on the altar of materialism, at pre-election rallies, massively pretended to pour love on the DPS. Three well-known philosophers have confirmed their case: that the state is made rich or those who need to get rich; that the mind is the best distributed in the world, because no one complains that he lacks it and that fools cannot be wisely counseled. For many, that time of domination of such a policy paid off, and it came to an end. So, the departure of the DPS from power is at the same time the return of Montenegrins and Montenegrin institutions to the public scene, better to say in history, and at the big door. It is their turn, and they are obliged to carry their cross.
We have an incompetent opposition, bad political circumstances and a state leadership that undermines the constitutional order. Some constituents of that government see democracy as subversion and betrayal. It is made up of a group of dangerous people with dangerous intentions. They are trying to destroy us with forces that are beyond our control. Such a policy is the culmination of betrayal and a crime against one's own country. It is the product of Belgrade's evil intentions to drag Montenegro into new disasters and shame. I claim and believe that they would be ready to commit violence, and ultimately the annexation of the country in the interest of Serbia, which is encouraged every day by the Belgrade factory of lies. Our and the younger generations are obliged to stand up in defense of the greatest shrines that such a policy threatens: the freedom and independence of the homeland.
The illusion, whose “rock broke the DPS ship”, that Montenegro can be civil and sovereign with humiliated and disenfranchised Montenegrins, that the Montenegrin church and state issue is resolved through the Serbian and Serbian churches, and that Montenegrins will agree to that, has been shattered. Montenegro cannot defend itself without the “army” and “military leaders”, who are outside the existing parties, and the existing ones cannot absorb them.
The illusion is that the Montenegrin electorate can be tied to only one political entity and that smaller and individual centers of resistance are irrelevant. This is confirmed by the way the current government organized and acted at the time when they were in opposition and the results of the August elections that brought them to power. The gathering of all patriotic citizens in general, in order for the united to act in unison in the defense of state and national interests, is a national interest.
The illusion is that this job can be done instead of us by anyone in whom the Montenegrin heart of freedom does not pulsate strongly. This cannot be done by some political officials of the former government who are motivated by sinecure. Constituting a broad Montenegrin block within which to find Montenegrin NGOs, individuals and newly established political organizations, supported by Montenegrin national institutions: CPC, DANU, Matica, PEN and the St. Peter of Cetinje Foundation, is the supreme national interest. If we are a nation, we expect it!
