The president of the Party of Freedom and Justice (SSP), Dragan Djilas, stated today that the opposition will call on the citizens to protest if the election conditions in Serbia do not improve.
“Citizens are overwhelmed, everyone who goes around Serbia knows that, the only way to solve this is for the opposition to win the elections in Serbia,” Djilas said at a press conference in front of the PKB in Padinska Skela.
Djilas emphasized that possible protests, which will demand the improvement of the election process, will be peaceful.
“If someone thinks that we will go to the street to shoot, kill or die, that will not happen. Peaceful protests have changed the destinies of countries in the world – from India, South Africa and America,” he added.
Djilas stated that he believes that it is possible to reach an agreement within the opposition on cooperation or non-aggression.
The vice president of the Democratic Party (DS), Dragana Rakić, stated that there will be no boycott of the elections unless the election conditions improve, and that the alternative is civil disobedience and protests.
“In a situation when you, as a citizen, have been deprived of all your rights, when you cannot vote freely and be informed in a timely manner, the only way is to fight for that right,” she pointed out.
