Nikolic: The question of whether there is a ruling majority in Montenegro, the DPS is ready to be a partner on the European platform

"It doesn't matter if we are the government or the opposition, we are here to confirm our responsibility. It has been confirmed that the strength of the DPS is the only one that prevents chauvinism and nationalism from realizing their intention in Montenegro."

DPS MP Andrija Nikolić said in the Assembly after the session that they came to vote in order to save the face of Montenegro.

“Whether we are the government or the opposition, we are here to confirm our responsibility. It was confirmed that the DPS force is the only one that prevents chauvinism and nationalism from realizing its intention in Montenegro. The fact that only four deputies voted for the dismissal shows that the parliamentary majority does not have a synchronized attitude towards the European agenda. There is nothing worse than Srebrenica when it comes to war. Nothing like this question has revealed who is where”, stated Nikolić.

He said that the question is whether there is a ruling majority in Montenegro.

“After the recent events in Montenegro, it is necessary to define the European platform more clearly. It is true that a compromise is needed in Montenegro, which implies an agreement, and the DPS is ready to be a partner on the European platform,” Nikolic said.

He stated that all DPS deputies were in the hall during the voting.

Asked who did not vote, Nikolic stated that Markovic did not vote even when there was a session on the occasion of the election of the Government and ministers in the Government, and then he stated his position very clearly as he announced his attitude towards the work of the dismissed minister.

“Of course, he voted for the Resolution on Srebrenica,” Nikolic points out.

When asked what it means that the DPS will be a partner on the European path, he said that they are always ready to work in the interest of the citizens.

“When the elections were over, a democratic transition was ensured, and we offered support to the pro-European forces even then.

When asked whether they are returning to the Assembly, he states:

“We will reconcile the new circumstances on the political scene. We are very careful when we make political decisions and you will be quickly informed about the further course of action”, Nikolić points out.
