Incredible embarrassment of the state by the owner of the second Serbian tabloid V(i)esti. The draft law on the origin of property does not exist as an official act, stated the president of the Movement for Changes, Nebojsa Medojevic.
“The policy of embarrassing the state and cheap populism continues,” Medojevic points out.
He claims that there is no (new) Law on the Origin of Property that has been in question for more than two years.
“The government has never considered or adopted that act of the Draft. It is only now that we learn that amendments are actually being made to the existing Laws on Tax Administration and the Law on Confiscation of Proceeds from Crime (2015) and the Law on Personal Income Tax. It is clear that this is a new attempt by the owner of the second Serbian tabloid Vesti to gain political points through cheap propaganda. The idea is to compromise one of the most important state issues”, states Medojević.
According to him, there is no effective fight against the mafia without opening the ANB files, banning the work of the DPS and deep lustration.
“Such unprecedented embarrassment of the state by ignorant and dilettantes, who were appointed by the owners of Vesti to the most responsible state functions in order to realize their political interests, must be stopped. Elections are the only peaceful, democratic and legitimate solution to the deep political crisis and paralysis of the political system and the institutions of the system,” Medojevic concluded.
