Former US President Donald Trump‘s envoy for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and probably the first gay person in Trump's cabinet, Richard Grenell, recently visited Belgrade. On that occasion, Grenell posted pictures and video on his Instagram profile from a party where he was accompanied by Serbian Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, with whom, as he says, he always spends good time.
The video shows Grenell and Mali singing the famous song of the Italian partisans “O Bella, ciao” very intimately, in a charge of emotions in a nightclub, while only a day later Grenell publishes a photo from lunch with the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama from “hot Tirana” .

After that, Grenell arrived in Albania to see his partner.

It is symptomatic that Grenell, who is Trump's man of trust and known as his main contractor in the Western Balkans, found himself in Belgrade and Tirana at a time when Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Albanian and Northern Macedonian Prime Ministers Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev were signed a cooperation agreement, better known as “Open Balkans” (renamed “Mini Schengen”).

Many politicians and analysts in the region believe that behind the “Open Balkans” initiative lies relief for the realization of large-scale hegemonic projects of the “Serbian world” and Greater Albania. Time will show us the reason for Grenell's visit and whether it is a message to the region that these projects have the support of the former American president and his people.
Grenell was in charge of implementing the plan that could best be described as “diplomatic Frankenstein”, and he meant that the problems in the Western Balkans would be solved by creating a Greater Serbia, a Greater Albania and a Greater Croatia!?
As Joseph Biden came to the helm of the United States, promising not to allow the destabilization of the Western Balkans, there are all chances that Grenell and Mali, quite by accident, actually celebrated the collapse of the idea of a “Serbian world” in which Vucic and his associates firmly believed, encouraged by Trump’s diplomatic fantasies.
