A hearing was held before the Basic Court in Kolašin on Friday on the lawsuit of one of the co-owners of the Daily Press concern, the director of the regime tabloid Vijesti, media tycoon Željko Ivanović against the Aktuelno portal.
Considering that Ivanović has sued our media house countless times, it should be noted that hearings were held on Friday on the lawsuit of this media tycoon for articles entitled “Ivanović and Perović in trouble: Pro-Russian TV Vijesti at a loss of over 7.8 million euros!” and for the text “Parliamentary dilettante in a new role: Becic as a spokesman of racketeering media and ignorant NGOs“.
Ivanovic attended the hearing in one of the cases, when it comes to the text “Parliamentary dilettante in a new role: Becic as a spokesman of racketeering media and ignorant NGOs”. It is interesting that Ivanović stated in his statement that we mentioned him 193 times on the Aktuelno portal.
Apart from the fact that this statement proves Ivanović's obsession with our media house, it should be noted that this is an explicit lie! Ivanović is often mentioned in the book “Miško Kesedžija and his dogs – an essay on the Montenegrin evil” by Marko Vešović and Šeki Radončić, which was transmitted by Aktuelno in more than 170 sequels. However, in an act of brutal censorship, by the decision of corrupt courts, we had to remove this masterpiece of Montenegrin and regional literature.
When it comes to the hearing for the article entitled “Ivanovic and Perovic in trouble: Prorussian TV Vijesti at a loss of over 7.8 million euros!” Ivanovic said that “he doesn't have time to answer questions because he has to go to the funeral”!?
Apparently, this is the fear of a media tycoon who wanted to avoid confronting our legal representative at all costs, who told the court that he had at least 50 questions for Ivanovic in that case. Before he allegedly went to the funeral, the media tycoon commented that he would answer each of the questions, but that “the questions have nothing to do with the dispute.”
It is obvious that Ivanović does not want to answer the questions why he and his colleague, co-owner of the Vijesti concern Miodrag Miško Perović, sued only the Aktuelno portal, although many other media wrote about the losses of TV Vijesti.
It should be reminded that the lawyer of the Aktuelno portal submitted the reports of the Tax Administration and all the texts of other newspapers that wrote about the financial problems of TV Vijesti at the previous hearing in April. Some of the titles that are included in the evidence are from Pobjeda from February 8, 2018. – “Washington papers: Did the DF pump 700,000 euros into Vijesti”, then from the Analitika portal on May 27, 2015, “The Tax Administration requested the introduction of bankruptcy in TV Vijesti”. The title from the IN4S pro-Russian portal was also mentioned – “Knezevic: Zeljko Ivanovic confirmed that he is Markovic's Srecko Sojic”.
The lawyer of Aktuelno then emphasized before the court that it was interesting that the Vijesti concern and their co-owner did not “mentally hurt” any text of other media on the same topic except the text published on Aktuelno. The judge also then ordered the submission of a CD recording where it can be seen that the co-owner of Vijesti, Zeljko Ivanovic, was at the ceremony organized by GP URA, which was submitted by our lawyer on Friday.
Given all the mentioned circumstances, it is no wonder that the media tycoon Ivanović is running away from facing the essential issues. As for the lawsuit that was sent only to our media house for something that almost all domestic media reported, it is obviously a continuation of the brutal chase of the so-called “media gang” that has been conducted against Aktuelno for years, which you can read about at THIS LINK.
