Even if removed, Leposavic will rule from the shadows

Leposavic, as a key man of the Serbian Orthodox Church, also wrote the Basic Agreement with the people from the Serbian Orthodox Church. He is a key player of the Serbian Orthodox Church, although there will be no change, nothing important will change because he will continue to rule from the shadows and push the laws that the Secretary of State will serve to the Government, analyst Srdja Vukadinovic believes

If the Minister of Justice, Human and Minority Rights Vladimir Leposavic is removed, essentially nothing important will change, because that department will be covered by Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic until further notice, while Leposavic will continue to rule the ministry from the shadows and write laws that will be adopted by the Government, evaluates for Dnevne novine political analyst Srdjan Vukadinovic.

KEY SOC PEOPLE

Vukadinović believes that Leposavić and Krivokapić are too precious players for the Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC) and that he will find a way to preserve them, as well as to calm the situation that has reached the boiling point, which is best evidenced by yesterday's parliamentary session.

Vukadinovic sees some form of government reshuffle as a real possibility if Leposavic is removed, but the big question is whether a new minister will be elected. For that reason, his assessment is that in the event of a dismissal, Krivokapić will take over that department until further notice.

“Leposavic, as a key man of the Serbian Orthodox Church, also wrote the Basic Agreement with the people from the Serbian Orthodox Church. He is a key player of the Serbian Orthodox Church, although there will be a dismissal, nothing important will change because he will continue to rule from the shadows and push the laws that the Secretary of State will serve to the Government, i.e. the Prime Minister. In fact, it will continue to be managed by Leposavic,” Vukadinovic said, emphasizing that the Serbian Orthodox Church will not allow itself to lose important levers through which it pursues its interests, namely the current prime minister, justice minister and two or three other ministers directly incorporated by the Serbian Orthodox Church.

“Neither the DF nor the Democrats will go against the SOC. They should be expected to be invited to a religious facility by the one who is supposed to invite them and rebuke them as small children for behaving in this way. Because, their quarrel brings someone else to power, and they will try to avoid it at all costs”, Vukadinović emphasizes.

According to him, the resignation of the president of the Movement for Changes, Nebojsa Medojevic, to the parliamentary seat also shows that the Government is expected to be reshuffled and that he is counting on participating in the executive branch.

“Medojevic's resignation is actually an announcement that the DF is preparing something in terms of reconstruction. The government, where key players of the Front would seek stronger positions in the executive branch,” Vukadinovic believes.

THE HYPOCRISY OF THE DEMOCRATS

Speaking about the dismissal of Leposavic, Vukadinovic says that it is possible only if the DPS participates in full capacity.

“Democrats are behaving hypocritically, they said they would vote if the DPS is not there and does not vote, otherwise it will not. That is the hypocritical behavior of those who do not have a political culture and who do not know what they want,” Vukadinović points out.

Commenting on yesterday's confrontation between the Prime Minister and the deputies of the majority who elected him to that position, the interlocutor of Dnevne novine estimates that it can happen that trust is placed in the Government, but that the decision of the Serbian Orthodox Church will be decisive.

“If the DF goes to the overthrow of Krivokapic, to the complete reconstruction of the Government, where their representative will be the new Prime Minister, then the question is how the SOC will behave, whether it will support Krivokapic, and probably a couple of ministers who are their key people in the Government. Therefore, it is more probable that no one will touch the Prime Minister, because the removal of the Prime Minister means new elections”, Vukadinović estimates, adding that the fate of the Government depends on the decisions of large parties, namely DPS and DF.

ESTABLISHMENT OF A DEMOCHRISTIAN PARTY EXPECTED

Commenting on the possibility of founding the Christian Democratic Party by Krivokapic, Vukadinovic says that this is expected, because the Serbian Orthodox Church wants its own party.

“It is better to form such a party, than for all the votes of the Serbian Orthodox Church to go now to the Democrats, now to the DF. It is much better for the democratic character of the political environment to create a situation where each party will go to the polls on its own and participate in government according to its electoral capacity. It was to be expected that the Christian Democratic Party would be formed, because then it would be known where the votes of the Serbian Orthodox Church were going and how strong it was in Montenegro,” Vukadinović said.

According to him, in order to democratize the political environment in Montenegro, it is necessary to know exactly whose electoral capacity is and how much, and then on the basis of that electoral credibility to form certain government structures.

“Krivokapic is a man of the Serbian Orthodox Church, like the majority in the Government, except for (Dritan) Abazovic, and they will be members of the new party, which will be strongly supported by the Serbian Orthodox Church, which has already realized that agreement. It is a special story that the demands of the Serbian Orthodox Church and their role in the political life of Montenegro are unacceptable for both society and the state, “Vukadinovic said.
