The organization Alternative Montenegro claims that the Minister of Finance and Social Welfare, Milojko Spajić, recently bought a car of “Mercedes” GL class, which, as they say, costs around 122,000 euros.
“Alternative Montenegro wishes Mr. Spajić a happy car purchase. We want him to ride healthy. We think that this car in basic equipment costs around 122,000 euros”, wrote Alternativa in a post on Facebook.
Coordinator of the Alternative, Vesko Pejak, told Dan that they have “unofficial but reliable sources” that Minister Spajić bought a “Mercedes” of the latest class, which is very debatable according to them.
“I doubt that this all smells like the previous government. It is a bit debatable that a person who reported a property worth 250,000 euros is now buying a car worth 122,000 euros at once,” said Pejak.
Pejak added that he doubts that the administration of the new government is not doing its job properly.
He also added that it is not clear to him where Spajić got so much property from, when he was registered as unemployed in 2017.
It should be reminded that Minister Spajić reported the property a long time ago and stated that he had over 200,000 euros in his bank accounts. The ASK (Agency for anti-corruption) card does not state that Spajić reported the purchase of the car, and on the other hand, on the Facebook page of Alternative, many users sided with the minister.
They claim that Spajić acquired everything legally, as well as that he came to the position of minister with the money he has already earned.
“Spajic is not a sweater. He honestly earned money abroad, he gave an insight into his bank accounts. You are not relevant. He can drive whatever he wants”, reads one of the comments, and the answer of the Alternative is especially interesting “And what do we know, we ride the bus”.
