Dacic: Joanikije to get involved in resolving political crisis in Montenegro and to deal with Krivokapic

Dacic, as a guest on TV Pink, said that the adoption of the Resolution on Srebrenica in the Montenegrin Parliament was directed directly against Serbia and the Republika Srpska, and that it was done due to strong pressure from abroad.

The President of the Assembly of Serbia, Ivica Dačić, called on the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Joanikije, to get involved in resolving the political crisis in Montenegro, stating that the new Government is behaving very similarly to the one led by Milo Đukanović.

Dacic, as a guest on TV Pink, said that the adoption of the Resolution on Srebrenica in the Montenegrin Parliament was directed directly against Serbia and the Republika Srpska, and that it was done due to strong pressure from abroad.

He added that this was part of a “well-designed project that should burden Serbia and the Serbian people as much as possible, in order to prove that the Republika Srpska was created on the basis of genocide.”

“No one forced Zdravko Krivokapić to be the Prime Minister of Montenegro, and that is why Serbia is talking quite cautiously about possible moves that should follow after the adoption of the Resolution in Srebrenica. What happened in the Montenegrin Parliament is a huge disappointment, and the Resolution is completely directed against Serbia,” said Dacic.

He added that in the past years, he constantly talked about the current President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, and his moves.

“Now we will not talk about Milo Djukanovic anymore. We need to talk about others who are responsible. We are no longer talking about what the policy of Montenegro has been so far, but what that policy will be in the future. And I do not expect it to be a policy in the interest of Serbia, but in the interest of the citizens of Montenegro, and I am sure that it was not in the people's interest to pass such a Resolution. Metropolitan Joanikije should also announce himself and have a little fun with Zdravko Krivokapić's moves. There is that responsibility as well,” said Dacic.

He also stated that Krivokapić did not come to the head of the Government by force, but that he was proposed as the holder of the list that won the elections.

“Metropolitan Joanikije should also say what he thinks about what is happening, because Krivokapić came to the head of the Government because the late Metropolitan Amfilohije asked him to be the holder of the list. I also think that the new metropolitan should deal with the situation in Montenegro and the position of Serbs in Montenegro,” Dacic pointed out.

Dacic said that the new government and part of the ruling coalition are behaving similarly to the government of Milo Djukanovic.

“Everything they do is so bad that the people will get the impression that Milo Djukanovic was not so bad either,” said Dacic.
