The Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić and the Minister of Finance and Social Welfare Milojko Spajić traveled to Tokyo. They will attend the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games there.
“Tokyo, we are arriving,” Spajic said, posting a photo from the plane on Twitter.
The president of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, Dušan Simonović, went to Japan on the same flight.
Let us remind you, Aktelno announced five days ago that Spajić will keep the prime minister company on his way to Tokyo. Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic wanted a seat next to the prime minister, but in the end Spajic left.
We remind you that the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games should start on Friday, at 1 pm local time.
Montenegro will be represented by 33 athletes.
Earlier, due to the organization of the Prime Minister's Hour, Krivokapić informed the Speaker of the Parliament, Aleksa Bečić, that he was traveling to Japan, in order to provide support to the Montenegrin Olympic team.
“I want to emphasize the importance of the visit to Tokyo, not only because of the famous sporting event, but also because of the agreed visit to the Prime Minister of Japan,” Krivokapić stated at the time.
